The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore has taken a visionary step by launching plans for the Agro-Livestock Tourism Hub at Ravi Campus Pattoki. The consultative meeting brought together leading stakeholders from livestock, poultry, dairy, fisheries, meat and tourism sectors to shape this innovative project aimed at combining education, research, entertainment and tourism under one platform.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Rabbani shared the vision of transforming Ravi Campus into a unique “Farm to Fork” experiential destination where students, researchers, families and visitors can explore modern livestock technologies, food processing, dairy and poultry farming, fisheries, wildlife management and rural traditions.
The proposed tourism hub will feature theme parks, traditional food courts, boating, fish catching, camel & horse riding, kitchen gardening, handicrafts, ornamental nurseries and much more — creating a perfect blend of learning and recreation while reconnecting the younger generation with nature and agriculture.

Experts and stakeholders also presented valuable suggestions to make the project a national model aligned with the vision of “Magnificent Punjab to Promote Tourism.” The initiative received strong support from the Government of Punjab and the Livestock Department.
This iconic project is expected to strengthen Pakistan’s agro-tourism industry while promoting livestock education, innovation and sustainable rural development.
